Hey folks!
The mercado is known for selling gourmet styled tapas- and we took upon ourselves to investigate. While Ben tried a local beer, we both shared a ham and bread snack.
While I wanted to stay and camp out for the rest of my life- Ben thoughtfully suggested that we push on to our next destination: La Plaza Mayor.
Once finished, we set out for our last destination of the day: San Gines- a place known for chocolate and churros. We allowed ourselves to get a little lost and enjoyed the view of the restaurants and shops in the area.
We decided that this would be the perfect place to people watch and read. We even met a few friends-
Our people watching and friendships lasted for about an hour before a giant cloud covered the sun and it started to pour.
We took cover in a hat shop where Ben bought a hat and then we stopped into a small candy store and bought lollipops. After about thirty minutes, the rain let up and we headed to Puerta del Sol where we did a little souvenir shopping in a Spanish outdoor mall.
Thanks for sharing the great fun and tastes! When do you see the Prado?
